Pay TV industry loses record number of subscribers
Wed Aug 10, 2011
Loving it! I wish we could overcome the industry's lobbying and monopolistic power and demand individual channel or perhaps individual show choice. I do not shed one tear for these leaches. I think I may just cancel all my subscriptions anyway. It is not as if TV does me a lot of good!

Close to 70%of GDP is tied to consumer spending. Why not just unilaterally adjust all mortgages (without closings, without appraisals, without lawyers, etc.) to some low rate such as 4 or 5 %. This alone would create disposable income and jump start the economy.
States ponder early release for some prisoners
Sat Jan 10, 2009
We are second only to China in prison population. Maybe it is time we looked at solutions other than criminalizing "undesirable" behaviour. Did we not learn any thing from the Prohibition?
Paulson: Congress must release rest of bailout
Fri Dec 19, 2008
Just pass blanket legislation restting all mortgages in the United States to some low rate (5.5%?, 5%)- regardless of credit rating and no closing attorneys, mortgages brokers, inspections, etc - just do it.
